Biography

For over 20 years, Nicole Dubé has been in the trenches of evolving Canadian media. Working in minute-to-minute live television in the relentless pursuit of stories, Nicole has been a reporter, network news anchor and longtime host of the #1 morning show, CTV Morning Live Winnipeg. She’s interviewed prime ministers, business leaders, elite athletes and everyday Canadians on the best and worst days of their lives.

Again and again, she learned how to find the human meaning inside complex details, and what makes people stop, listen, connect and care.

But her story started much earlier.

At 17, Nicole’s byline was already appearing in The Hamilton Spectator. As a student working inside the newsroom of a major Canadian newspaper, the smell of ink rolling off hot presses set the direction of her life. She learned early that the right questions can uncover the story that really mattered beneath all the information.

Decades later, one small but embarrassing moment forced her to turn that same curiosity inward: Nicole showed up to host the morning show at 4 a.m., forgetting she had personally booked the day off.

For years, being the one who worked harder, showed up and pushed through had become part of how she understood herself. That morning however, made it impossible to ignore the cost.

After years of interrogating everyone else’s stories, she realized there was one she had never really examined:

Her own.

That moment began a new chapter.

Nicole launched DUBÉ MEDIA and uncovered a pattern she had witnessed throughout her career, and could see repeated throughout history: the best communicators don’t simply get attention. They incite curiosity, create meaning and know how to make ideas matter.
